Exploring the Small Web
Some time ago I discovered bearblog, this tiny cute blogging platform that reminds me of old days when the Internet was a decentralized network of small websites full of quirky content. You know, weirdly looking websites written in HTML, being a form of expression, containing ugly gifs, marquee animations and so on.
Since then I've become more and more interested in the small web, the part of the Internet quite different from tech giant platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Youtube. As it seems there are many personal websites with interesting content where people share their ideas, knowledge and opinions and do not do it for likes and followers.
To be honest, exploring personal websites and blogs give me much more joy and satisfaction than 8-hour of doom-scrolling (you're welcome, my dopamine receptors!)
If you'd like to jump into the rabbit hole and find something of your interest here are some starting points:

- Against an Increasingly User-Hostile Web
- the internet is (a little) boring
I'll probably extend this list in the future, so you're welcome to come back here someday. Now go, find something for yourself, there are many places to discover :)
